I
had spent a bit of time in Lancashire and had times between trains at
Preston to take the 25-minute walk to Deepdale. It wasn't the easiest
ground to find and there were very few signposts on the way but I got
there in the end.
It was well worth the walk as Deepdale is a cracking stadium. This is how to design new stadiums and stands and make it individual (well forgetting about Sampdoria for a minute!) and not the bog standard new builds like you see at the Stadium of Light, St Mary's etc.
