I
had a meeting in Penrith with work so popped down to the Frenchfields
site on my lunch to see how far the new stadium got before it was stopped
for financial reasons.
I was surprised at just how basic the stadium is going to be once finished, with only one stand- and a small one at that. The car park was almost completed, although the road to the stadium is yet to be finished.
The pitch looked excellent as you would expect and the floodlights were in place though I'm not sure if these actually work yet.
The latest news is that should work recommence the club can move from their current Southend Road ground within five weeks.
